How to play
How to play FreeCell
FreeCell is free in the browser on Play Online Games. Build four foundations from Ace to King by suit, using four free cells to hold cards for a moment. Tableau columns build down in alternating colors. Undo and auto-move are included.
Steps
- All 52 cards are dealt face up into eight columns.
- Build the four foundations up by suit, from Ace to King.
- In the columns, place a card on one that is one rank higher and the opposite color.
- Each of the four free cells holds one card at a time. An empty column takes any card or sequence.
- Click or tap a card to move it, or drag it. Use Undo to take back a move.
Tips to play better
- Free cells are your most valuable resource. Fill one only when you know how you will empty it.
- Find the Aces and Twos first and work out how to free them.
- An empty column is worth more than a free cell, because it can hold a whole sequence.
- Long sequences can move only if you have enough free cells and empty columns. More space means longer moves.
- Do not send low cards to the foundations too early if you still need them to hold other cards.
