How to play Mini Crossword
Mini Crossword is a free daily 5x5 crossword in the browser on Play Online Games. Click a square and type. Press Tab or click a clue to switch between Across and Down. Use Check to find mistakes and Reveal if you are stuck. A new puzzle starts at midnight New York time.
Steps
- Click any square in the 5x5 grid.
- Type a letter. The cursor moves along the current word.
- Press Tab, or click a clue in the list, to switch between Across and Down.
- Use Check to highlight wrong letters.
- Use Reveal to fill in the answer if you want to see it.
Tips to play better
- Solve the clues you know first, Across or Down, to get letters in place.
- Short words in a 5x5 grid often share letters. Use the crossing letters for harder clues.
- A clue ending in a question mark is usually wordplay.
- Use Check before Reveal. It shows what is wrong without giving the answer away.
- Come back each day. Common crossword words show up often, and you will learn them.
